There are 10 types of people in this world: those who understand binary and those who don’t. ~Author Unknown

I used to be, or so I felt, pretty computer savvy. Back in oh, 1998, or so. I could actually find my way around an operating system. Now? I just want to punt my laptop out the window and go Office Space on it.

I went around deleting some things to fix this terrible low disk space error I keep getting (though I have over 100 GB free over on D:, but of course you can’t just MOVE free space around, of course not) and I don’t think I should have done that. There are little things missing here or there now.

Maybe it’s my imagination, but now I can’t even change the font in my posts. (I downloaded Live Writer, so I could format my posts properly, but I goofed it up by trying to move it to the D: drive, and now I can’t re-download it because I’m out of space on C: after downloading the latest Windows updates.)

That’s all I have to say today, because I can’t stand to look at my laptop anymore.

Perhaps a goal for my 30s . . . take some computer classes so I can become self-sufficient on this beast.

  1. If you inadvertently removed one of those .dll files, it can make things miserable for you. That’s all I can say. 🙂

  2. I say next time you have to buy a new computer – get a Mac! It’s much easier to feel like you know what you’re doing.

  3. It may be as easy as doing a ‘System Restore’ to a previous date. That can reset a lot of mistakes.
    Good luck
