About Mom in the Moon

“The moon is a loyal companion. It never leaves. It’s always there, watching, steadfast, knowing us in our light and dark moments, changing forever just as we do. Every day it’s a different version of itself. Sometimes weak and wan, sometimes strong and full of light. The moon understands what it means to be human. Uncertain. Alone. Cratered by imperfections.”

My name is Alison. And I’m a thirty-something single mom to Charlie.

I believe that everything happens for a reason. That ice cream is an essential part of a balanced diet. That laughter truly is the very best medicine. That baby smiles and laughs can cure any ailment.

That some of the most trying events in life give way to some of the most amazing things.

And . . . that we are all in charge of our own destinies.

Join me on my crazy journey as I navigate the ups and downs of single motherhood, navigate co-parenting, and everything else in between.
